Building resilience and offering hope for the future

At Anstee Bridge, we believe that every young person has the potential to achieve.

We support young people aged 15 – 16 in year 11 who are referred to us by their schools. The young people we support are disengaged from learning and the majority have had interruptions to their education due to complex personal issues such as bereavement, family breakdown or some form of abuse. They are often withdrawn and shy, or angry and frustrated. They are frequently the targets of bullying. Many have stopped believing that they can succeed.

They attend one day a week, remaining at school for the other four days.

We offer them respite from the pressures of mainstream education and the opportunity to re-discover the power of confidence and the joy of learning through creativity.
